When the fire fell from the sky,
—we fled into the darkness of space.
In its cold embrace we found no solace,
—in that eternal night we saw no sign of dawn.

We returned to the ways of our ancestors,
—who wandered the sands with the shift of the seasons,
But now we had no pattern to guide us,
—no purpose to direct our steps.
The ancient wisdom gave us strength,
—but the Prophets heard no word to give us succour,
——and our questions echoed in the silence.

So we turned our eyes to our weapons
—and sought light in the blaze of their fire.
But when the mad Terran summoned the Destroyers again,
—their wrath burned the stars and we fled from the ash.

Our destiny waited in the heavenly darkness,
—but we did not know how, or if, salvation would come.
While the Terrans fixed their gaze ever on Sol,
—we wandered the void and waited for seasons to pass.
